Music in Me, Art reception
The Music in Me art reception was held in the evening of October 16th on a beautiful cool fall day at the historic Tannery, Buford GA. The show opening, which was coordinated by Chris Canova and James Klippel, featured two dimensional and three dimensional original art pieces which where inspired by a song or musical composition. In addition to the sixteen Tannery Row Resident artists, there where over twenty guest artists contributing work. The festive evening of food, wine, original music by Stephen Keown, and art was also showcased in a two page review by the Gwinnett Daily News. Art work by Jim and Chris were featured in the artical with one chosen as the cover. The first piece is an impressionist painting of Authur Fiedler, The Maestro, conducting The Blue Danube waltz by Johann Strauss JR. The other featured piece is an impressionist painting of the Beatles on top of a metaphorical "Apple" singing their way Across the Universe.
