Jim Klippel is the principle of J H Klippel Design Studios, www.jhkdesigns.com, a naturalist, photographer, and multi-media artist. Chris Canova has BFA in Art from JU, and works with Japanese water color paper, mixed media, pencil, and acrylic paints. www.ju.edu
In April, 2008, Jim and Chris completed illustrating a children´s book, written by Chris, titled "What Happened That Day?" The book is designed to assist learning to read in a whimsical manner which actively involves the beginning reader child in identifying the stylized letters which are incorporated in the illustrations. July, 2008, opening at Gallery Blue, www.judithbrust.com, on Nantucket Island. The series is titled "Absence of Ego".
The my creative element guild of artists have a deep passion for observing the natural world as well as interpreting the unseen world of the universe and how it connects to the individual spirit in each of us. For the Nantucket show acrylic paintings evoloved using acrylics on canvas incorporating primary colors representing the raw essence of emotion and clarity of a world without static or the ego. These introspective abstracts have been created while listening to several forms of orchestral music and are representative of the harmonics and flowing patterns in all the cosmos.
September, 2008: Debut of the first opening of "Symphony at Sea" series of impressionist marine mammal whale art pieces. The art rendered in rich deep blues draw one to the movement of sea mammals, made it's preview at a juried show in the Chamer of Commerce in Jasper, Georgia
October, 2008, premiered the series called "Spirit of Africa" at the Tannery Row Artist Colony safari Show. This series represents the power of the spiritual energy found in Africa that goes beyond this earthly dimension. Invited to the ART STATION in Stone Mountain. Jim wins an award in a juried competion.
February, 2009: The "Prairie Soul" series featuring native American and wildlife subjects, made its debue at the Risky Business Show at the Tannery Row Artist Colony. Jim collaborates with iron artist Dennis Primm and Art glas artist Jeff Loose to create a one of a kind coffee table with interchangable art pieces.
March, 2009: Jim and Chris individually won Honorable Mentions for art Featuring coastal Georgia subjects in acrylics on canas at a juried show held at the Goodyear Cottage on Jekyll Island, Georgia.
May, 2009: The series "Notes of Color" began with "Sax Soul" winning second place at the Buford Jazz and Arts Festival in Georgia. The music impressionist art works feature the visual flow of music merging in the spirit-soul.
June 2009 to September, 2009: A solo exhibit was on display at Insidesign galleries, Atlanta, Georgia. Johns creek Arts center invite artists Jim and Chris to an exhibit and reception. www.johnscreekarts.org
September, 2009: The "Spirit of Africa" series was on display at galleryblue on Nantucket Island, MA. an invitation only show at The Station Gallery in old Stone Mountain.
September, 2009: Six collaborative pieces as well as two individuals were selected for the juried show at the Chamber of Commerce, Jasper, Georgia. Artist associate James Walker creates unique leaded prairie school and arts and crafts glass pieces.
October, 2009: The abstract titled "2012" received Special Recognition in the Annual International Abstraction Juried Online Exhibit by the People Gallery. Jim unites with the Gwinnett Vistors Bureau, www.exporegwinnett.org for a permanent exihibit. Jim personally hangs 800 lineal feet of cable for art work. The paintings are rotated out every four months.
January, 2010 to May 2010: Five individual pieces of art were selected to exhibit at the Hudgens Center for the Arts. Artist associate, Jeff Klippel creates unique one of a kind flow organic art wall sculptures with patina copper. and other natural materials.

Marine art pieces of Whale, sea turtles, and dolphins are donated to a Jekyll Island fund raiser auction and dance for the Jekyll Island Turtle Center. Chris creates a beautiful series of bird paintings on Japanese water color paper. Mun Sheung Quan was her mentor and professor a JU.
Spring 2011 Both Chris and Jim Mentor youth With heart defects. The artist youth duet teams create art pieces which are autioned at the Gala fund rasier for Childerns hospital in the fall. Art From the Heart program.www.facebook.comartfromtheheartcampforkids/ Habit for Humanity, Both artist paint door canvas pieces for fund raise. Gwinnett Parks, sponsors with Habitat for Humanity, Doors for Hope. Placed in open air and indoors many artists pieces are sold with all proceeds bennifitng the cause. Spring 2012, Individually, Jim and Chris create "Plen Air" pieces at Lake Lanier and gift the art to the Lake Lanier Saling Club for a Special Olympics fund raiser. Chris wins best of show at a juried competition at TRAC, Tannery Row Artist Colony, Beaufort, GA. Jim paints an series of sailing paints of the Americas Cup Boats and Gifts one to Larry Ellsion.
Fall 2012, Animal art pieces by both Chris and Jim are donated to a silent auction with 100% of the proceeds benifiting the local animal shelters. Jim Develops his "man and Machine" series of Motosport art. Jim is asked to be a volunteer docent at Auldbrass Plantation, open every two years, with all proceeds going to the Beaufort SC Open land Trust. Jim begins the Group WRIGHT DOCENTS, with curators and volunteers at Frank Lloyd Wright buildings.Jim is honored with being one of three special docent tour guides at Joel Silvers' Auldbrass Plantation, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Serveral hundred thousand dollars are raised with all appiled to The Beaufort Open Land Trust.Jim Paints a special painting and gifts it to Mr. Sliver.
2013 Jim is honored to be chosen as on the 3 tour guide docents for the Frank Lloyd Wright Conservancy spring dinner and fund raiser at Auldbrass. Both artists where chosen to display art at Gwinnett Hospital to raise money and heal spirits.
2014 Four shows at the Tannery. Show at the Gwinnett Nature Center. Another DOORS FOR HOPE, in the parks. Jim and Chris are chosen to be interviewed for Gwinnetts parks film series. www.habitatgwinnett.org. the Gwinnett visitors Bureau selects to purchase a painting by Chris Canona for a permanent diplay in the offices.Jim wins a ribbon in a juryed show for his Plen air, impresionist barn painting at the Gwinnett arts in the parks competition.
2015 Jim and Chris each enter art pieces in the Hudgens Center for the arts. Jim aids in saving an preserving a Theatens by destruction Frank Lloyd Wright house. The Lindolm home, Mantyla, "house of the pines" was still owned by the orignal family who hired Frank Lloyd Wright to design and build their house in 1952, in Cloquet, MN. Jim creates MANTYLA HOUSE, web site to assist in fund raising, and puts in a bid with the Frandk Lloyd Wright Conservancy to move it to acrage in north Georgia.
2016 Chris exihibits at the Hudgens. Chris attends a class Reunion and birthday party for the dean at her school JU. MANTYLA HOUSE, Jim aligns with Polymath Park in western PA as the venue for the new home of the Frank Lloyd Wright Lindohlm house. Jim hand builds a balsa wood scale model of Frank Lloyd Wrights', MANTYLA HOUSE, to aid in its reconstruction after moving from MN to PA. www.mantyla.house, www.franklloydwrightovernight.net. Jim wins a Gold and Silver OBIE award for his custom home plan design, "best indoor-outdoor natural living spaces".in metro Alanta.
2017 Jim Sketches, designs, and paints an organic, tiny house which wins the Grand ARDA Award for home plan design. Jim does a series of pencil portraits of family. Jim begins integrating the latest high tech Drone photography for all his mountain and sea home designs. Jim is asked by Historian and President of the LAHS, Lower Altamahha Historical Society, to present a lecture on Low Country architecture as it relates to Auldbrass Plantation, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. For his work and contribution to Gwinnett parks and Habitat fund raisers Jim is invited to sit on the AIA presidents advisory committee for Arts and Architecture in Atanta, GA. Jim is honored with "Best Timber home of the year" , for his natural modern rustic home plan design built in Montana. www.ranchesofbeltcreek.com
