Jim Klippel to Paint AMA Pro Motocross Racers and Roger Decoster art
Jim travels to the Millville AMA Pro Nationals Motocross event in Spring Creek, www.springcreekmx.com, Minnesota with brother Jeff and son Justin to photograph, sketch, and paint for the "Man and Motorcycle: series. This spirited collection of fine acrylic art on canvas blends the emotion, and energy of rider and machine as one in action. Jim was also honored with the privilege of meeting five time 500cc world motocross champion, Roger DeCoster and presented him with a one of a kind tribute art piece. Jim painted an acrylic on canvas piece of Roger DeCoster at speed on his 1973 Suzuki 500. The painting was created from photographs he and bother, Jeff, took in the early 1970s at the Trans AMA at Road Atlanta, Georgia. Jim would like to pass on a heart felt "thank you!", to Roger, who now manages team Suzuki, and Now champion Ryan Dungey. Mr. DeCoster could be retired yet instead continues to pass on his passion of the sport and inspire the youth, www.suzukicycles.com/racing/motocross/teamsuzuki.aspx. Images will soon be posted on the My Creative Element web site.
