This is the north west elevation of an Earth sheltered home designed by James H. Klippel for Livingston Montana.  Based on the Terra Homage organic principles, it grows from the ground in a curvilinear pattern to form space within which enlightens the spirit.  James Klippel paints acrylic earth architecture not for sale, but as a study for the living art-a-tecture. The passive solar design by Jim incorporates treated hay bale inner walls with gunite on recycled plastic and wire mesh, Hypo-turf finish. which allows mosses and lichens to take hold.  The house is built over a large cistern, water tank, to stabilize the temp. Inquire regarding passive solar architecture commission.
