Major William Horton built one of only two tabby houses in Georgia left standing today. Built on the north west marshes of Jekyll Island in 1740, the ruins and grave sites may today still be visited .  Here in and impressionist abstract, James H. Klippel paints  an "Angel of the Oceans" watching over a Square rigger leaving Brunswick heading out to sea  while a loved one watches from the north Jekyll Island beach. contact Jim regarding commissioned art work.
